The new H&M Studio aw18 Collection, one of my favorite of every season, is out starting the 6th of September on hm.com and in Baneasa mall in Bucharest. This year it was inspired by the reboot of the 90s TV show TWIN PEAKS.
Combining this mood that I’ve been such a fan of with “The sound of music”, this is what me & my amazing team came up with: The sound of… TWIN PEAKS. A noir chic editorial with a more optimistic twist, shot deep in the Carpathian Mountains – Piatra Craiului, somewhere where wild animals were running free.

This September, H&M Studio releases its A/W18 womenswear collection, entitled “Neo Noir Chic”, and inspired by the original cult 90’s series Twin Peaks. The dream logic aesthetic is writ large over a collection of ladylike statement pieces and borrowed-from-the-boys wardrobe classics.
H&M Studio is H&M’s key seasonal line of elevated fashion essentials. Devised by a dedicated design team, it offers a limited-edition collection of fashion-led, statement pieces that play into the key themes and trends of the season.
Fifties movie icons, with their era-defining looks, provide further nostalgic stimulus, yielding precise, sculpting wool dresses and nipped-in coated cotton trench coats as well as indigo precision denim jackets, sturdy turn-up jeans and a grunge-infused viscose-silk suit. Cosy, hairy cropped knits and elegant neck-tie blouses are equally key pieces.
Special thanks to the H&M Romania team: Kasia, Ruxandra & Ioana. Thanks to Geanina & Dani from Models Under Management.
